Just got in last bight from Texas, is it weird that it took almost as long to get out of the airport as it did to fly from Houston to Toronto? Huge photo update coming soon!

Last week I cooked up another dish off the Jamie Oliver Ministry of Food site. It was Spicy Chicken Chow Mein and it was real good. I was in Chapters with my brother in law Tom yesturday and pick up this new book and pretty amped to try some of them out!
Before setting off on out trip to New York we picked up a few new albums for the journey ahead of us. Here is a what we got.
The Present: It the soundtrack to the newest Thomas Campbell Film, lots of 60’s influenced surf music.
Zee Avi: Found her through Jack Johnson’s record label Brushfire Records, good to listen to with a cup of coffee (or tea) reading a good book.

I’m counting down the days till my feet hit the ground in the great state of Texas! We’ll be spending 5 of our 11 days there at roddy tree ranch in Ingram Texas on the Guadalupe River. 
There is just something about Texas that I love so much….my wife calls it pride. Why do we Texans love the great state so much, is it because we are the only state that can fly our flag at the same height as the American flag? I’d start with the food that can’t be beat nor replicated anywhere north of Virginia.
